Consultancy heading: helping television and media businesses to change and grow

Rights management & formats

Caroline is one of the industry's leading rights experts, and is particularly experienced in the field of TV formats and intellectual property. Road Trip offers advice on issues from the creation and protection of formats, through to their successful exploitation, both domestically and abroad. Road Trip is commissioned to work directly within companies, and also via trade bodies and screen agencies.

Whether it is in the field of intellectual property or finished programming, linear broadcast or new media, Road Trip is a leading provider of TV rights expertise and training.

In 2006, Road Trip jointly delivered an ambitious scheme for North West Vision where seven companies received international advice and support before, during and after MIP-TV in April '06. Road Trip was able to introduce leading industry experts as part of the scheme, giving advice on areas such as specific programme genres, co-productions, legal advice and press and PR. We also ran a session where participating companies pitched live to a major international TV network buyer.

Due to the success of the scheme, work was carried out with further companies attending MIPCOM in October '06. Caroline also ran a daily rights clinic on Pact's first 'Indie Pavilion' during MIPCOM.
